League of Legends VGU Vote Results
The polls are in, and Skarner has won the vote for the next Visual and Gameplay Update. When given the choice between a group of champions to receive the next VGU, Skarner pulled in the most votes at quite a high percentage of votes.

When it came to voting for League’s next VGU, Skarner pulled in a whopping 33.4% of votes. The second-highest vote, Shyvana, pulled in 19.6% of votes, and the least voted champion Nocturne received only 14.4% of the votes. Skarner will receive his update sometime in 2023, after which there will likely be another vote.
On the subject of Skarner’s rework Reav3 said:
The Brackern don’t have tons of lore currently, and we’re looking forward to diving deeper into their world and backstory. It’ll still be a couple months until we get started, but once we do we’ll share our progress in dev blogs so we can get your feedback on our scorpion friend. So keep an eye out for one of those later this year.
The Gothic Skin Revamp
In addition to voting for the next champion VGU, Riot also gave players the choice of which old, outdated skin concept would be revamped. The winner of the vote would receive more skins in the line, which a new and uniquely expanded upon concept to refresh up their lackluster original ideas. The winner of the poll was Gothic.

Originally released with Gothic Annie, the very basic concept is promised to be renewed and expanded on. While we don’t have a confirmed direction on where Gothic might go yet, the wording on Riot’s official post seems to indicate that they have a lot of ideas on where to go with the theme.
That’s all we know about the VGU and Skin Thematic vote! Be sure to check out our other League of Legends news and guides to stay up to date with what’s happening on the rift.
