Leona's new High Noon skin rightfully should have gone to Rell, according to members of the community.

League of Legends has just teased a brand new legendary skin for Leona. Set in the High Noon universe and featuring a brand new model and set of animations, fans of the champion have been excitedly posting about the skin on Twitter. However, fans of the champion Rell, who has not received a new skin in over a year, are outraged at what they feel should have been a skin for their favorite champion.

Leona’s new skin features a heavily armored, cowboy-metal theme that many believe rightfully belongs to Rell. The similarities to the other support champion are shocking, going so far as to copy an animation from Rell during Leona’s horse-bound backing animation.

The fact that Leona has a horse at all is seen as an affront to Rell players, whose entire champion identity is based on the mounting and dismounting of a horse.

Rell has a very dedicated fanbase of players, who are upset at the lost opportunity to receive a skin for their champion. What’s more, skin lines like High Noon have been cited as the perfect skin line for Rell, making it even more insulting that she didn’t receive a skin this time around.

Twitter user @PepperNSalt was one of the most vocal members of the Rell main community about this new skin. Changing their username to #JUSTICEFORRELL, they made quite a few posts voicing their frustration at once again not receiving a skin for their favorite champion they felt they deserved.

Even with the news that five more High Noon skins are coming with this set, we have a confirmation that there will still not be a Rell skin included. @PepperNSalt sums up the community’s frustration once again with a well-made meme.

At the moment, its currently unclear when Rell will receive a new skin. Unfortunately, Rell fans may have quite a bit of waiting left. Riot has already come clean about their priorities for new skins. While they try to make skins for champions who haven’t gotten one in a while each year, their priority is on popular champs who are sure to sell well. It took over two years for Kled to receive a new skin, and to date he has only received a total of two skins since his release in 2016.
