Legends of Runeterra Jax deck guide – Forging Victory

Legends of Runeterra has taken Jax, one of League of Legend’s oldest champions, and given him some much-needed TLC in both the visual and lore department. With Legends of Runeterra, players can now live up to the fantasy of Jax that isn’t offered so well in the main game; With this weaponmaster + forge deck, you can get some wins in LoR relatively easily and in flashy style.

Of all the new champions added in Legends of Runeterra, Jax seems to me to be the one with both the most and the least wiggle room as far as deck flexibility goes. Jax is a card that can satisfy his own win cons all on his own, but doesn’t do so very well. On top of that, if you want to build around his Weaponmaster / Equip focus, you don’t have a ton of flexibility in going about doing so. Because of this, Jax + Ornn seems to be your best bet for a Jax-focused deck.

Just like our Ornn / Kayn deck, this deck uses Ornn’s followers and Forge ability to buff up our weapons. However, Jax’s followers have the Improvise keyword, which auto-equips them with a weapon when they’re summoned. Because of this, your interaction with Forge is a lot more flexible. With Jax’s followers, you can count on having equipment on most if not all of your units on the board.

A leveled-up Jax gains +1/+1 for each equipped ally on the board when he attacks, so you want to have as many Weaponmaster followers on the field as possible. Make sure you leave room for Ornn and his Ram when you attack though because the Ram is your win condition.

You might also find a lot of success using the Freljord’s many buff spells with this deck. A Jax or Ornn with regeneration proves to be a difficult threat to take off the board. This deck also includes a copy of The Scargrounds, which should help you fulfill Jax’s brawler fantasy even more.
