Fortnite has a long and successful history with Spider-Man, and now Into the Spider-Verse fans could finally see a Gwen Stacy crossover.

Thanks to a new marvel cover, twitter is blowing up with excitement for Gwen Stacy’s Spider-Woman:

Gwen Stacy is one of the most beloved characters in comics, and although she has been very famous for her tragic death, alternate versions of Gwen have rebuilt her into one of the most fascinating and entertaining characters in any Spider-Verse.

Recent Fortnite leaks showed off new Spider-Man content just a couple of days ago, featuring a brand-new “Spidey Landing” emote and “Web Slicer” pickaxe, as seen here:

The images suggest that Fortnite fans could expect these new items in the “Zero War” set, which matches up with the Zero War marvel cover that features Gwen Stacy.

Into the Spider-Verse ends with Gwen visiting Miles one more time, and the first short teaser for Across the Spider-Verse also featured a complete scene between them.

Gwen is clearly a driving force behind Sony’s animated Spider-Verse, which has continued to be considered one of the best (if not the best) iterations of any Spider-Man. That’s saying something, after No Way Home received massive praise and box office numbers.

Now, fans are speculating about the potential for a Gwen Stacy skin in Fortnite, as well as her own emote and pickaxe designs.

For example, unhooded Gwen would be a fun look, and any of her poses from Into the Spider-Verse would offer plenty of inspiration. Some fans have even brought up Gwenpool, the popular cross between Gwen and Deadpool.

Ultimately, this would be a big opportunity for Fortnite to introduce something new. The traditional Spider-Man has already been given plenty of attention, as in the No Way Home tie-in.
