MARVEL SNAP has announced the return of the character Kitty Pryde! With a new ability, Kitty Pryde will be granted as a base card to all existing players. For accounts created after the recent patch, Kitty Pryde will become a part of Series 5.

The update also introduces a feature that allows for cosmetic customization of decks. Avatars and Titles can now be applied individually to each deck. However, after the patch’s application, the active deck will be changed to the first deck in the list, which may be slightly inconvenient for players.

The new update has also included a seasonal series drop. A number of cards have been shifted from higher to lower series. Master Mold, Negasonic, and Nimrod have been demoted from Series 5 to Series 4, while Sentry, Silver Surfer, Dazzler, Shadow King, Sauron, and Ghost have moved from Series 4 to Series 3. However, Darkhawk and Knull cards remain in Series 4.

In terms of general updates, MARVEL SNAP has made adjustments to the Ranked Mode, decreasing the number of Cubes required to Rank Up from 10 to 7. The number of Bonus Ranks gained when Tiering up has also been reduced from 5 Ranks to 3 Ranks. For instance, a player ranking up from rank 29 will now go to Rank 33 instead of Rank 35. These changes come as part of a continuous effort to enhance the gaming experience for players.

To prevent accidental purchases, players will now be required to press and hold the button to confirm any item purchase from the shop. Additionally, Series 1 and Series 2 labels have been added to the respective cards from these series.

The MARVEL SNAP update also includes audio improvements. Indonesian voice-over has been mixed and mastered, and Thanos voice-over has been added for Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. The developers have also fixed a bug that was causing card flare sound effects to over-trigger.

The update has brought balance changes as well. While the metagame at the end of April was diverse and had healthy win rates, there were a few popularity outliers. This has led to a couple of card reworks. Kitty Pryde, Crystal, Wave, Death, and White Queen cards have all been updated with new abilities.

The update has fixed various bugs and known issues that players had reported. These include UI overlaps, translation errors, VFX issues, and even gameplay errors such as cards not showing correct power adjustments.

Despite these improvements, a list of known issues remains, such as difficulty interacting with emotes in-match on some devices, overlapping UI elements, and the Season Pass spotlight card text being too large in some languages. The developers are aware of these issues and are working to rectify them in upcoming patches.

You can see the full list of changes over on the official MARVEL SNAP blog post.
