Pokemon Scarlet and Violet bring some new additions to the game, which means there’s a lot of new pocket monsters out there that can be collected and battled against. When battling against certain Pokemon, it’s unclear what type they are initially, so learning which moves you should use is very important! Maschiff Weaknesses
Maschiff is a Dark-type Pokemon, which means they have weaknesses to Bug, Fairy, Fighting-type moves. It is immune to Pyschic, but it is resistant to Ghost, Dark attacks.
While any Bug, Fairy, Fighting-type moves will be sufficient to finish of Maschiff, you will want to focus on Special Attacks moves if you have them. Maschiff has higher Physical Defense, which means you will have much better luck using Special Attacks.
As for specific Pokemon you want to avoid bringing into battle against Maschiff, you will want to make sure to leave Ghost, Psychic-types out. They all have at least one weakness to Maschiff’s attacks. Maschiff also carries Fighting moves, so be careful with Dark, Ice, Normal, Rock, Steel Pokemon.
