Minecraft premiered its first Minecraft Monthly show along with a reveal of the content of patch 1.20, otherwise known as the Trails and Tales update. This update is all about self-expression, storytelling, and worldbuilding. Take a look at the Minecraft Monthly video for the Trails and Tales update, courtesy of Minecraft’s Youtube channel:
In the latest Minecraft Monthly, details about the Archaeology feature have finally been showcased. The sands of Minecraft have been updated to allow players to find buried ruins and mysterious structures that contain suspicious sand blocks as they dig beneath the sandy surface. The new brush tool will allow players to delicately recover pottery fragments from the fragile sand blocks.
Sniffer, which is a mob that used to be extinct, will finally appear in the new Snapshot, Preview, and Beta. This mole-like mob can be rediscovered by looking for eggs in suspicious sand. Unearth these eggs and they will hatch into a Snifflet, which will grow up to become a Sniffer. This mob can sniff up unique seeds that grow into majestic plants.
The new Cherry Blossom biome will be also released and can now be explored in Snapshot. It is a rare biome that includes the cherry tree wood set, cherry tree sapling, and pink flower carpet block.
Armor trims, which have been available on Java Snapshots for some time, will soon be available in Bedrock Beta and Preview. Locate the templates, then use the smithing table to craft and trim unique armor.
Details about Minecraft Legends have also been revealed in the latest Minecraft Monthly. In this new action strategy game, players will lead their allies in heroic battles to defend the Overworld. Minecraft Legends will be available on April 18th for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Pc. Meanwhile, as a March Monthly Game for Playstation Plus subscribers, Minecraft Dungeons will be available between March 7 and April 3.
Minecraft crocs will be also released as a free item in the Character Creator. There will be a “Relaxed Mode” for those who want to wear the strap forward and a “Sports Mode” to wear the strap down.
