Minecraft Mountain Seeds (1.18) – Bedrock & Java

Minecraft has been changed massively in the 1.18 Caves and Cliffs Update Part 2! These changes have altered the way worlds are structured and how the land in your games is formed. This appears to be all for the best, because the worlds are far more interesting and add a sense of wonder to exploration. If you want to start your next build in the high altitudes of the mountains, we have some great seeds for you!

We are only including seeds that work on both Bedrock and Java versions of Minecraft. However, you might find that some of the generated structures do not appear in the same places. Unfortunately, while the seeds are mostly the same, this is the one area where they can differ.

Mountain Seeds List

All of the following seeds feature mountains as their biggest selling point. However, you should find a variety of other things to like about each of them, so you will have other aspects to work with in your next build.

Jagged Peaks Mountain Seed

While this mountain doesn’t reach the top of the height limit, it does get pretty close! You’ve got the massive jagged peaks biome that is surrounded by a dense birch forest. Not too far from here is a badlands mountain and a large village in the savanna!

You will have to travel a bit to get to the jagged peaks, but near the spawn is a village, swamp biome, and witch’s hut to checkout! Once you’ve got what you need, you can then head into the mountain ranges.

Savanna Mountain Crater Seed

While most of the time you’re going to find mountains that feature snowy peaks, this seed gives you a large mountain range that features a large crater like center with a waterfall and some deep caves. You will also find a couple of nearby villages to explore. A great seed for someone who wants mountains but isn’t looking to live in the cold.

Massive Mountains Seed

Looking for a seed that really spells out what the 1.18 update is all about? Well, this seed shows off the massive cliffs and mountains that can now spawn. It has many big caves you can explore, and not too far away from spawn are a couple of villages to visit. You can also find a couple of ruined portals and a pillager outpost within walking distance.

High Mountain Peaks Seed

Another great seed if you want to be surrounded by huge icy mountains and have beautiful vistas to view. You can park yourself down in the meadow in the middle of all the beautiful mountains, or build atop the mountain and view the landscape. There’s also a nearby village and pillager outpost that you can checkout!

Snow Mountain Island Seed

In this seed, you spawn on a huge island with a massive snow covered mountain with beautiful waterfalls cascading down the slopes. You will find an ocean monument not too far away to explore. This could be a good survival island if you don’t want to make the task too difficult for you. Most generated structures are pretty far away, so only pick this seed if you’re looking for a nice place to build!

Mountain Range with Lake Seed

While Minecraft 1.18 has brought quite a few of these seeds with circular mountain ranges, this one might be the best. It is massive and has an awesome lake with some forest at the center. You can also check out some nearby caves. If you want to venture out of the mountain range, you will find a bunch of villages and a jungle biome to explore!

Snowy Mountains & Plains Valley Seed

While you won’t spawn directly at this location, it is worth the traveling time to get there! This seed features a large valley set between massive snowy mountains that spans for a great distance. Along the way you will come across a large cave to explore. This is a beautiful seed for anyone looking for a scenic valley!
