Mosaic Chronicles: Deluxe, a “deluxe” version of 2021’s story-driven jigsaw puzzle game, has just been announced to release on the Nintendo Switch with a new trailer. Developed by Error 300 and published by Gamersky Games, a release window was not confirmed. The standard edition of Mosaic Chronicles is currently available on PC and mobile devices.
Here’s the new Deluxe announcement trailer from the frequent porting publisher RedDeerGames:
Mosaic Chronicles has been pretty successful since launch, and renewed interest on Steam last year. It makes the most of its jigsaw premise by adding some very compelling artwork, adding fun storytelling elements, and offering a variety of difficulty.
The game is inspired by Olga Gromyko, and that personality really shines alongside the stained-glass settings. Although putting a puzzle back together may seem a little too casual for some, it really fit the mobile scene, and the art design is pretty enough to warrant the biggest screen possible. So, Mosaic Chronicles should definitely be a great fit on the Nintendo Switch, which can also go mobile.
Today’s trailer from RedDeerGames only recaps how the gameplay works, and while that’s nice for the uninitiated, it doesn’t really explain what the Deluxe port is going to consist of.
So, fans will have to wait for another trailer to find out if there’ll be new content. After all, there are already plenty of puzzles in the core game. But it would be thrilling to see if the devs add more stories influenced by Gromyko’s work.
And although a release date wasn’t stated, that’s pretty common for RedDeerGames. For example, they recently announced both new Operating System and Sport & Fun Swimming without release dates, opting to drum up interest early on and elaborate later.
