Simple party games have seen a large resurgence in recent years with titles like Overcooked and Moving Out, with dozens of other titles working to create the same arcade fun. Players who are fans of this genre will appreciate the new four-player party multiplayer title Make Way, just announced by developer Ice Beam and the publisher Secret Mode.

This game promises to be a combination of Ultimate Chicken Horse and other chaotic racing games, with the announcement trailer showing how players will be able to build an ever-expanding track. There are also mechanics similar to Mario Kart, with players using ranged items and knocking each other off the track in a very competitive nature.

Make Way is very reminiscent of the type of party games where players fight for even the slightest advantage and one wrong move can cost them the game. What’s even better is that players will be able to play cross-platform against opponents online or on the same console. This makes it much more of a social game compared to titles that rely on one or the other.

Players will be able to use standard rules or completely get rid of all safeguards by customizing the rulesets to their preferences. Players will also have to contend with obstacles like trains, buses, and other large vehicles that seek to get in the cars’ way.

Players will be able to purchase Make Way on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and X, and Nintendo Switch sometime later this year.
