The developers of Broken Roads have announced the introduction of pacifist playthroughs to their narrative-driven RPG, making it possible for players to complete the game without any combat or killings. This feature, however, will only be available for certain character builds and will depend heavily on the choices made throughout the game.

The option to navigate through the game as a pacifist adds a layer of complexity to Broken Roads. Players aiming for a pacifist playthrough will need to carefully consider their decisions and the potential consequences. They’ll need to gauge the reactions of their companions to their choices and understand the interests of the various people and factions they come across. The type of quest resolutions they pursue will also significantly influence the game’s outcome. For instance, accepting a mercenary hit job or antagonizing everyone is likely to lead to violent repercussions, which wouldn’t be good for a pacifist playthrough.

In addition to the pacifist playthrough announcement, the developers have also confirmed the languages into which Broken Roads will be localized at launch for non-English-speaking players. The initial list includes Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish (LatAm). The team will evaluate the addition of other languages post-launch, depending on the demand in different regions.
