Square Enix’s mobile RPG, NieR Re[in]carnation, will be drawing to a close with the conclusion of its ongoing storyline, The People and the World. The final chapter, Act III: Transmigration, is scheduled to be released on March 28, 2024, marking the end of the game’s narrative.
As posted on the official website, following the final chapter’s release, the game will continue to operate for one month before officially ending service on April 29, 2024, at 10:00 PM PST. On March 18, 2024, in-game purchases will stop, and the rest of the time will be for players to enjoy the content while it’s there.
To mark this event, many events and campaigns will be held until the end:
- Story Completion Countdown Event: From January 22 to March 29, this event will offer daily free Summons, weekly gem gifts, and themed costume series appearances.
- The People and the World New Chapter Campaign: Running from January 22 to February 4, this campaign will boost story quest drop rates by 10x and reward players with a Premium Summon Ticket x3.
- Japanese 3rd Anniversary Countdown Campaign and Campaign: These two events, taking place from February 1 to 17 and February 17 to March 7, respectively, will feature increased dungeon quest drop rates, special missions with attractive rewards, and a new record-breaking event.
- Final Chapter Countdown Campaign: From February 28 to March 28, this final campaign will introduce Summons with new characters alongside a 10x drop rate boost for specific Dark Memories and Daily Quests.
NieR Re[in]carnation launched in July 2021 and did well for a mobile game. It’s a huge surprise to see the game announce its end of service so suddenly. If you were ever a player of the game, we recommend getting as much as you can out of it before the server closes for good.
