Nintendo reveals a new Pokémon set to be part of the Pokémon Scarlet installment!
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the latest games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo scheduled to be released on November 18, 2022. The new Pokémon titles are open-world RPGs set in the region of Paldea. Along with the release of these titles, new Pokémons will also be available.
Recently, Nintendo announced the addition of Armarouge in Pokémon Scarlet. It is a Fire Warrior Pokémon with a Fire/Psychic type. Its height is 4’11”, and weighs 187.4 lbs. Its name is likely a mixture of armor and rouge, which means red in French. It is said that its source of power comes from its armor, which is once owned by a distinguished warrior. Armarouge uses the psychic capabilities of this armor to control fire energies to unleash attacks and blaze through the battlefield.
According to the official website of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Armarouge believes in a fair fight. Armarouge will challenge any opponent head-on even if it is much stronger than it. It can take down enemies through high firepower and could bolster its defenses to boost survivability. Its ability, Flash Fire, can power up Fire-type moves if Armarouge is hit by one.
Armarouge also executes Armor Cannon, a Fire-type special move where Armarouge clasps its arms together to form a cannon and shoots out a blazing projectile. The power comes from the charging of his pauldrons up to its arms. This is one of the most powerful moves that Armarouge can learn but can greatly lower its DEF and SP.
Fans have been speculating Armarouge to be a pseudo-legendary pokemon. If the rumors are true, Armourage is likely unable to evolve as with all other pseudo-legendary and legendary Pokémon. In any case, further announcements are likely to be made ahead of the launch of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
