Questline Paladin Decks – Post Nerf Stormwind

If you are looking to fight for the light then you might want to run the new Rise to the Occasion questline that is released for the Paladin class in Hearthstone’s United in Stormwind. If you can complete the final step of the quest, you will get Lightborn Cariel who reads, “Battlecry: For the rest of the game, your Silver Hand Recruits have +2/+2. Not only that, but completing the second step upgrades your hero power, so you get two recruits per time you use it. That’s two 3/3 recruits every turn!

You will be adding a lot of 1-drop cards to the deck, but it’s important to note that only one copy of a 1-cost card will count towards each part of the questline! That means, you can’t play the same 1-drop to count towards the quest until you complete one portion of it. That can be kind of awkward, but at least you aren’t locked out from using the card again to complete future parts of the quest!

The overall expansion for Paladin doesn’t really involve Recruits, but the deck shouldn’t require a full investment in them. Just buffing your hero powerful is enough, and you don’t necessarily need to build completely around that aspect. Just having the 1-drops and some of the powerful Paladin cards in the list should be enough!

Keep in mind that you should be very careful about crafting any new cards or decks when a new Hearthstone expansion is released. The power level of decks is hard to predict, and a list might be powerful one day and weak the next. The meta is always evolving in the early stages of an expansion release, so consider waiting before making any decks if you’re on a budget!

Quest Paladin Deck Lists

If you’re looking to play Quest Paladin then you don’t really have a ton of options. Right now, both Secret and Handbuff Paladin are the decks of choice for the class. The quest does not appear to be strong enough, and very little is being done with it at the moment. It is still playable, so if you have the cards it’s worth a shot!
