Questline Warlock Decks – Post Nerf Stormwind

The questline for Warlock is an early standout in the Hearthstone United in Stormwind expansion. It was thought originally to help the delete archetype, but it has become more of an OTK deck that uses the final reward of the quest to burn out the opponent with fatigue. Whether or not this deck will continue to be powerful into the future remains to be seen, but right now it’s looking fairly strong!

With new quests being a big deal in the Stormwind expansion, it looks like Warlock’s could be at the top of the meta. The Demon Seed rewards you for taking damage on your own turn, which of course is something you will be doing each time you hit your hero power. If you complete the first two parts of the questline, you will deal 3 damage with lifesteal to your opponent each time. If you can complete the final stage, you will earn Blightborn Tamsin, who has the card text, “Battlecry: For the rest of the game, damage you take on your turn damage your opponent instead.”

Now, you can tell that the final piece of the quest rewards you for going deep into the game and taking a lot of self-damage. Which means that you will be wanting to get yourself into fatigue! So, what better way to do that then to start chucking cards out of your deck and into the fel-fire.

Once you’ve gotten the reward, you will want to start taking as much self-damage as possible. This can be done by going into fatigue, or you can use a card like Stealer of Souls that will convert the cards you draw into costing health and use those to damage your opponent!

Keep in mind that you should be very careful about crafting any new cards or decks when a new Hearthstone expansion is released. The power level of decks is hard to predict, and a list might be powerful one day and weak the next. The meta is always evolving in the early stages of an expansion release, so consider waiting before making any decks if you’re on a budget!

Questline Warlock Decks

This seems like the more standard quest list right now, and it has some elements of Delete Warlock and Handlock in it. It also has some pretty big burst potential with the inclusion of Battleground Battlemaster and all those big minions.

Face Version

This is the speedrun version of finishing the quest with this archetype. You have a lot of aggressive minions that will be damaging you quite a bit. However, you also have quite a bit of ways to gain all of that health back. Once you’re able to complete the quest, you can then use all that self-damage to batter your opponent!
