In the latest development for Systemic Reaction’s open-world roguelite, Ravenbound, a fresh content update numbered 1.1 is being rolled out alongside new DLC. The “Hammers of Ávalt” DLC, which will be available free of charge on Steam for a limited time, offers players a fresh weapon type – the hammer – to facilitate new combat strategies. Furthermore, Update 1.1 presents a new skill tree, secrets, and an array of bug fixes and enhancements for all players. A key change is the removal of the Apex Connect requirement, now enabling gamers to delve into the fantasy open world of Ravenbound offline.
The DLC, “Hammers of Ávalt”, brings to the table 13 different hammers equipped with varied abilities, alongside six special effect cards for a more personalized armory. This DLC will be free for pickup on Steam starting at 1pm ET / 10am PT on June 29 until July 13. Afterwards, it will be priced at $3.99.

Update 1.1 introduces several new features. Firstly, the previously required Apex Connect requirement has been removed, offering players the choice of an online or offline gaming experience. Secondly, a new skill tree has been added, providing players with the opportunity to unlock perks and other skills for significant progression with each playthrough. Four new types of hidden treasure have been introduced, giving players the chance to unlock coins, health, mana, blessings, and reduce Hatred. Lastly, a multitude of alterations have been made to enemy strength and behavior for more balanced combat difficulty.
These new features add to the raft of updates introduced post the game’s initial release, which include revamping the Hatred System, enhancements to balance and pacing, introduction of new cards and increased card variety, a redesigned Vessel Select menu, and numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
Ravenbound will be available at a 20% discount on Steam when the Summer Sale starts at 1pm ET / 10am PT on June 29.
