RedDeerGames, the publisher behind nOS: New Operating System, has just announced a brand-new Indie Spree Event for this month, alongside a trailer for the upcoming games that fans can expect. These new titles continue the RedDeerGames Indie Spring Spree, and they are still slated to launch every Friday.
The new games in today’s fresh trailer include Tiny Dragon Story, For a Vast Future, Mechanic 8230: Escape from Ilgrot, and one unannounced game that will be revealed on May 10th, 2023. You can watch gameplay for each teased title on the RedDeerGames YouTube channel:
Tiny Dragon Story
This 1-bit adventure takes the title quite literally, keeping things small in its storytelling, gameplay, and visuals. But the retro style should please fans of RedDeerGames’ UnderDungeon. It also has an undeniably cute world and premise, which has a great theme. It launches later this week on May 5th, 2023.
For a Vast Future
Another trip down memory lane, this nostalgic RPG from Retreaux Games actually released last year, and is available now on Steam. Now, it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch on May 12th, 2023. It’s hardly revolutionary, but it also displays a clear understanding of the era’s appeal. It has great pacing, the music is genuinely brilliant, and the combat has some clever twists.
Mechanic 8230: Escape from Ilgrot
This sci-fi point and click adventure from Nudiventra also launched in 2022, so it’s another Switch port, and due on May 19th, 2023. As “episode 1” of a larger story, it is very short, but the art design is absolutely gorgeous. The environments are hand painted to perfection, with chalky reds and industrial, rustic scenes that really sell the apocalyptic history and exotic world.
