Roblox BedWars Shielder Rework update log and patch notes

Roblox BedWars has announced several updates to the game, including the Infernal Shielder Rework, the Early Game Tax System, Combat Changes, Kill Bounties, and Balance Changes.

The Infernal Shielder Rework now reduces all incoming damage by 10% and stores the blocked damage as Infernal Energy, which can be used for special abilities. The Infernal Shielder also reduces damage for nearby teammates at 50% effectiveness. When the Infernal Energy is full, the player can leap into the air and set nearby enemies on fire while taking reduced damage for a short duration.

To discourage the jugg strategy of early iron funneling, the game has implemented the Early Game Tax System. For the first 4 minutes of any 5v5 game, iron given to players from teammates will be taxed, resulting in increased shop prices. The tax only applies if players have been given more than 50 iron.

Combat Changes have been made to the game to make 1v2s more dangerous, requiring serious skill or gear advantage to win. The game has changed the way damage cooldown works, making spam attacking equally as effective as well-timed attacking.

In addition, the game has introduced Kill Bounties, where killing enemies rewards extra resources based on the enemy’s armor strength and time alive. Previously, there was little reward for killing players with high-tier armor.

The Egg Hunt event has officially ended, and the Egg Launcher will be available in the shop for one more week. Free Kits of The Week include the Builder, Merchant, Bounty Hunter, and Nyx (Player level 20 req).

Finally, the game has made some Balance Changes to the Kits and Mechanics. Cyber’s Drone Speed has been increased, while Fisherman has a higher chance of receiving emeralds and diamonds. Drill damage has been scaled over time, and Grim Reaper’s soul heal has been nerfed. Knockback Charm now applies a higher knockback increase and no longer applies knockback to attacks without any initial knockback. The game has also fixed ability buttons that were not displayed properly.

Infernal Shielder Rework

• Infernal Shielder now reduces all incoming damage by 10% (by 50% when holding his shield) and stores the blocked damage as Infernal Energy.
• Infernal Shielder also reduces damage for nearby teammates at 50% effectiveness.
• When Infernal Energy is full, Infernal Shielder can leap into the air! When he lands, he sets nearby enemies on fire and takes reduced damage for a short duration.

Early Game Tax System (5v5 mechanic)

• The 5v5 meta has been dominated by a jugg strategy, where one player is funneled their team’s early iron. We’re looking to reduce the strength of this strategy and instead encourage team gameplay.
• For the first 4 minutes of any 5v5 game, iron given to you from teammates will be taxed, resulting in increased shop prices.
• This tax only applies if you’ve been given more than 50 iron.

Combat Changes

• With our old combat, fighting in a 1v2 was equivalent to fighting two 1v1s. We want to make 1v2s more dangerous, requiring serious skill or gear advantage to win.
• Changed the way damage cooldown works.
• Spam attacking is now equally as effective as well-timed attacking.

Kill Bounties

• Before, there was little reward for killing players with high-tier armor. This made it very hard to make a comeback while beds are up.
• Killing enemies now rewards extra resources based on the enemy’s armor strength and time alive.

Egg Hunt

• The egg hunt event has officially ended.
• The Egg Launcher will be available in the shop for 1 more week.

    • Knockback increase: +30% → +50%
    • No longer applies knockback to attacks without any initial knockback.

Other Changes

• Fixed ability buttons sometimes not being displayed
