While patrolling the dystopian streets of RoboCop Rogue City, the importance of saving your game cannot be overstated. Nobody wants to lose progress due to shutting down the game, thinking it’s saved.

This guide will walk you through the game’s saving process so you can confidently step away, knowing your progress is intact. Why not check out our review and how to change skins while you’re here?

How To Save in RoboCop Rogue City

RoboCop Rogue City uses an autosave system. There is no manual saving of any sort. So, your saved progress is entirely at the whims of the autosave system. From my experience of the game, it’s not as transparent as I would like, as the only indication is the small, green icon that appears briefly in the top right corner of the screen. Its quick display can make it easy to overlook.

However, there is one small tip you can use if you’re worried about losing progress. Whenever you want to hop off the game, press pause and choose Load; this will display all your autosave along with timestamps of when the save occurred. Compare these timestamps to the time in real life. If hours have passed, then continue playing a bit longer while continuously checking when a save happens. If only minutes have passed, you can happily shut down RoboCop: Rogue City, knowing your progress is safe.

You can also use this tip to determine at what points the game tends to autosave. Did it save a minute ago? Did you accept or complete a mission? Did you find a secret? Knowing when autosaves occur is half the battle, especially if you play in short bursts.
