Featured Rogue Spirit

Rogue Spirit has officially extended their early access period, delaying the anticipated version 1.0 release for months. The devs softened the news and explained their decision by promising to add compatibility with the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Epic Games Store sometime in 2023.

Here’s the announcement from the game, which tags the devs and breaks down their key updates:

The devs behind this rogue-lite are Kids With Sticks and 505 Games, who just held their first showcase ever last month, revealing a few new titles. 505 Games is best known for publishing hits like Death Stranding and brilliant little games such as Stardew Valley or Human Fall Flat.

Rogue Spirit is a neat action game with rogue-lite features, which follows the ghost of a prince that must save the kingdom. Players can possess enemies in order to use their various abilities.

July Update and breakdown

Although it’s disappointing to hear that v1.0 doesn’t have a release date, a small update called v0.95 will be available on July 7th, 2022.

Players will now be able to unlock Game Modifiers, which will be known as “Rules” in-game. You must collect various blueprints for a monk outside the Monastery, in order to unlock Hard Mode, Ghostbuster, Elemental Roulette and Sprinter.

To keep fans’ interest, there will also be 60 new quests to complete, as well as various new puzzles nestled throughout the environment. Skills will now be found as blueprints, which must be activated and upgraded in the Monastery.

AI enemies have also been improved to pursue players more effectively. And lastly, some new quality-of-life changes have been made for the main menu to make navigation smoother. Ideally, all of these new features will satisfy fans enough to wait out the new delays.
