Shock Genesect Weakness & Counters

Genesect in its Shock version, is a Bug and Steel-type Pokemon, which makes it incredibly weak to Fire-type moves. There are no other types that are overly strong against it, so you will want to focus completely on Fire-type Pokemon and Fire-type moves.

If you are running out of Fire-types, you will want to avoid bringing the following Pokemon with these moves because Genesect is resistant to them: Normal, Bug, Steel, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, Fairy, Poison, and Grass-types.
