In Back to the Dawn, Bruce the Captain of the correctional facility you are in will ask for a ledger from a gang leader. You have the option to either give him the real ledger or talk to the gang leader and get a fake one. As a result, you have a really interesting choice, especially since each choice has an impact on how long it takes.
If you need more help in Back to the Dawn, we have guides on if you should call Maggie and how to reload old saves. In a time-constrained situation, there is quite a bit the game doesn’t tell you, so our team is here to assist. Below we’ll tell you whether to give Bruce the real or fake ledger.
Do I Give Bruce the Captain the Real or Fake Ledger in Back to the Dawn?
You should give Captain Bruce the fake ledger in Back to the Dawn. I’ve done both and the first time I gave Captain Bruce the real ledger. The second time I gave him the fake one. When you hand over the fake one, there is a point where he says the writing is too perfect but then will leave it alone. You’ll get the same reward but the gangs will like you more if you give Bruce the fake ledger.
The other reason you should give Captain Bruce the fake ledger is because it’s a ton easier than giving him the real ledger. To give him the real ledger requires wasting time at dinner by spending time searching the room. You also have to spend time and focus on befriending Hakuna and Eddie to get a paperclip and pins to make a lockpick. Finally, you have to pick the lock of the cabinet in the room to get the ledger to give to Bruce.
That is a ton of time, energy, and focus spent. Instead, you could just talk to the gang leader who owns the room and he’ll give you a fake one to give to Bruce. I preferred this way and it gave me the same outcome with some gang rep.
