Back to the Dawn does not let you quicksave or save in other files, which means you only have one run at things. That means the choices you make are kind of permanent and the game never explains that you can actually reload to older spots. Luckily, we’re here to help you out.

If you need more help in Back to the Dawn, we have guides on whether you should give Bruce the real or fake ledger or if you should call Maggie. We’re here to help since the game doesn’t tell you everything and it’s a pretty time-constrained situation. Below we’ll explain how to reload old saves.

How Do I Redo Things in Back to the Dawn?

To reload an old save in Back to the Dawn, you’ll need to go into your settings. Press Esc to open your menu, and then you’ll see Memory Recall. Click it to get to a new menu that will tell you the things you’ve recently done and where you were when you were completing certain quests.

This is not just a way to remind you of what quests you’ve already completed but is a way to go back to those quests. Essentially, click the Memory and press Recall and you will return to that point in the game. You will lose all of your progress after that point, so be sure that you’re okay with it when you do so.

A lot of the game is split up into uneven sections, which makes it harder because you can end up doing a lot in certain sections and lose all that progress. I’ve found that at the beginning of my playthrough, it was always better to experience a section of two days, and then go back in time and redo them. There is so much time you waste just learning how the game works that you’ll benefit from his quick redo.
