SI:7 Questline Rogue Decks – Post Nerfs Stormwind

Rogue is finally leaning into its sneaky ways with a lot of SI:7 synergy coming to the class in the Hearthstone United in Stormwind expansion. There are five new cards in the set that are either SI:7 or utilize the card type in someway. These are mostly minions, but also the Find the Imposter questline. The parameters for this quest require that you play an SI:7 card, so you will need to pack your deck with them to complete it!

The SI:7 cards are pretty impressive! You have SI:7 Operative, who can take out a minion and go into stealth to hopefully attack again next turn. SI:7 Informant will gain stats for each SI:7 you’ve played in the game. SI:7 Extortion features the new Tradeable keyword, and can also remove a minion for fairly cheap. SI:7 Assassin also rewards you for playing SI:7 minions, and can be played for cheap and also potentially destroy a minion!

Keep in mind that you should be very careful about crafting any new cards or decks when a new Hearthstone expansion is released. The power level of decks is hard to predict, and a list might be powerful one day and weak the next. The meta is always evolving in the early stages of an expansion release, so consider waiting before making any decks if you’re on a budget!

Spy Gizmo Cards

When you complete one of the tasks of the questline, you will receive a 1-cost Spy Gizmo card. Here’s a look at what each of them do:

• Fizzflash Distractor (Spell) – Return an enemy minion to its owner’s hand. They can’t play it next turn.
• Hidden Gyroblade (3/2 Weapon) – Deathrattle: Throw this at a random enemy minion.
• Noggen-Fog Generator (Spell) – Give a minion +2 Attack and Stealth.
• Spy-o-matic (3/2 Mech Minion) – Battlecry: Look at 3 cards in your opponent’s deck. Pick one to put on top.
• Undercover Mole (2/3 Beast Minion) – Stealth. After this attacks, add a random card to your hand (from your opponent’s class).

If you can reach Spymaster Scabbs and play it on the board, you will get each one of these added to your hand. They are quite cheap and powerful cards, which can be used for combos or to get you back into the game!

This is still the most popular and successful version of Quest Rogue, even after the nerfs went live. It’s a solid deck, but it doesn’t see a whole lot of play.
