What is Solium Infernum?

Solium Infernum is a grand strategy game set in the ultimate arena of Hell, where players take on the roles of powerful fallen Archfiends contending for the vacant Infernal Throne. The game is designed for up to six players and features simultaneous turn-based gameplay, requiring strategic thinking and a deep understanding of political intrigue and betrayal. Players must navigate the complex political systems of Pandaemonium, Hell’s capital, while outplaying their rivals and avoiding insidious plots.

Each player embodies one of eight sinister Archfiends, each with unique powers and assets, including strongholds, legions, and champion praetors. The game offers diverse play styles, allowing players to engage in politics, master sorceries, or pursue a warmongering path. With asynchronous multiplayer capabilities, players can engage in intense multiplayer games or enjoy a more extended, asynchronous experience.

Solium Infernum boasts an unsettling and visually striking depiction of Hell, featuring over 150 dark paintings contributing to a twisted and surreal representation of the Underworld. The game reimagines Vic Davis’ cult classic and draws inspiration from Milton’s epic poem, “Paradise Lost,” promising players a challenging and immersive experience within the depths of Hell.
