In the vast universe of Starfield, players are not just limited to exploring planets and flying spaceships. A major part of the game revolves around various factions. With five major factions you can join—Constellation, Freestar Rangers, Ryujin Industries, Crimson Fleet UC Vanguard, and all with their own quests and motives, is it possible to complete quests from all five?

So, a common question arises: Can you join all the factions at once in Starfield? We have the answer.

Can You Join All Factions in Starfield?

Yes, at least at the start, Starfield allows players to join all the factions without major consequences. Bethesda wants you to be able to complete and enjoy as many quests and activities as possible without limitations and conflicts. This means players can undertake and complete tasks from different factions without issues.

However, a word of caution for those who wish to remain spoiler-free: as you delve deeper into the game, certain events might force you to reconsider your affiliations. You have to make a choice: the UC Vanguard or the Crimson Fleet. I don’t have to say more; you can probably guess the outcome. The choice is ultimately yours to decide. Or save and do both!

How to Join Factions in Starfield

To join factions in Starfield, you either need to speak to someone or take some kind of test. For example, for Ryujin Industries, you have to fill in a job application and then have an interview. But for UC Vanguard, you’ll ask to join up while doing one of the starting quests for Constellation.

The Constellation faction is unique in that players will automatically join it as part of the main quest.

Why Should You Join All Factions in Starfield?

Each faction in Starfield offers unique missions, storylines, and information about the game’s universe. By becoming a member of multiple factions, you get to extend the game length, and you may find a quest that is really enjoyable. Also, you get to play a different persona if you so choose, as UC Vanguard is entirely different from Ryujin Industries.
