If anything, 2023 has proven that video game IPs can succeed in other media, with The Last of Us seeing monumental success earlier this year. YouTube channel Ascender has been creating a range of projects based on game franchises like Halo and Call of Duty. Owner and director Stephen Ford has announced that the company has received approval for a new Starfield project.

Ford announced the upcoming project coming from Ascender with an image of a script from the project with much of the text covered in black lines. You can make out some of the words like the second line of the title is “Exploration”, the unmarked acronym for the title is “D.I.E.”, and there’s a subtitle under the Starfield logo that reads “Micro Series Pitch.”

Based on the last line, there could be multiple shorts in the works by Ford and Ascender. However, the former has clarified that the project is tiny, it’s “coming very soon,” and it’s the reason that the Ascender Halo project has been taking longer to release.

Some of the other words that are easier to see point to “Bethesda” giving approval for this project to be created. It seems likely that this front page is serving as a teaser to build hype for Starfield‘s early access launch in four days and Ford’s upcoming project.

Ascender’s live-action portrayal won’t be the first narrative media has received leading up to launch, with Bethesda releasing animated Starfield anthology trailers a month ago.
