Superfuse, an isometric action RPG from developer Stitch Heads Entertainment and publisher Raw Fury, has finally released an Early Access version of the game, which was originally expected in 2022. Superfuse’s Early Access launch is available on PC. It will include both single player and co-op mode, offering hours of the campaign and some post-campaign content.

Superfuse has a very stylish art design, intentionally imitating comic book drawings, and the action is unapologetically bloody. The mechanics and soundtrack aren’t necessarily innovative, but they do seem serviceable for now, and the game has plenty of attitude.
Although Superfuse is taking a beating on its Steam page early on, most player issues involve technical flaws, and Early Access releases are built for smoothing out smaller hiccups like that anyway.
The devs have offered up a decent volume of content for Early Access, and it’s honestly a little odd to see anything that follows the campaign. It could imply that area may have needed some work, as a new “Contract” system is also added for the postgame.
However, it’s much appreciated that players will be able to try out just about any facet of Superfuse, including cooperative mode, which is surely one of the more challenging features to get right. It’s a risky but ambitious Early Access launch.
According to a new post on the official Steam page, the devs will reveal more details on the future of the game “in the coming weeks”, including a roadmap. So, hopefully that will clear up some lingering concerns, since the devs have maintained some decent communication throughout the development process.
