SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada, an upcoming mecha shooter from developer Game Studio Inc. and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment, has just released a new trailer featuring gorgeous cinematics and a very brief glimpse of high-octane gameplay.
SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada hasn’t confirmed a release date yet. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. You can watch today’s new “Amasia Investigation” trailer on the Bandai Namco YouTube channel:
Synduality: Noir, an anime set in the same universe as Echo of Ada, has been a little divisive. However, the mythology has lots of potential, and SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada appears to make the most of it in today’s trailer.
While much of it is cinematic, the quality is outstanding. The animation is energetic, creative, and features interesting characters. It’s a definite highlight, and probably enough to entice casual gamers to give Echo of Ada a try.
However, the game does have some tough competition with the likes of Armored Core VI – Fires of Rubicon, which is a dazzling new return to form for that franchise. You can read more about it in our full review here.
SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada promises a more stylized version of mecha action towards the end of today’s trailer. While the graphics are a little underwhelming at this time, the action isn’t too overblown with visual noise. And the abilities, weapons, and enemies all look very satisfying to discover.
In fact, SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada may very well improve on the anime itself. It has a very streamlined premise, and unique environments that you don’t always see for mecha combat. But it still maintains the kind of pacing and offbeat attitude one could hope for from a Synduality game.
