Boundary, the highly anticipated multiplayer tactical space shooter developed by Studio Surgical Scalpels and published by Skystone Games, has achieved an impressive milestone by selling over 100,000 copies on Steam in less than 24 hours according to their press release. The game has garnered a “Mostly Positive” rating from user reviews in Early Access, reflecting the excitement and satisfaction of its growing fanbase.
Set in the vastness of space, Boundary thrusts players into thrilling team vs team zero gravity firefights, as they engage in low-gravity operations on orbiting space installations against enemy astroperators and other entities. Players can experience astronaut combat that resembles dogfighting, navigating through the harsh atmosphere of space and orbiting installations using their EMU suits. In this 3-dimensional battlefield, positioning and angle of attack are crucial for success.

Frank Mingbo Li, Director of Studio at Surgical Scalpels, expressed his excitement about the game’s positive reception, stating, “We always knew that our fans were just waiting to get into the game when it was ready to share. I’m beyond-excited that everyone seems to be enjoying themselves so far, and we can’t wait to share what the road ahead for new content and updates has in store.”
Players have the ability to personalize their protective space suits and arsenal of modified weaponry, tailoring their loadouts to match their preferred playstyle. From long-range sharpshooters to close-quarters assaulters, the game offers a wide selection of stocks, grips, scopes, barrels, and ammo types to create a unique weapon and class appearance.
Boundary’s diverse multiplayer maps, inspired by real-life industrial technology and space exploration, present players with a variety of challenging combat environments. These include a debris-filled wreck site and a solar farm, among others. The game’s multiple combat classes, such as combat medics, snipers, and support, allow for unpredictable and challenging gameplay. Players can utilize special devices like grappling hooks to navigate complex map designs and employ cunning strategies to gain a tactical advantage in multiplayer combat.
