Fans of the Tales of series have more than enough reason to celebrate as Bandai Namco revealed, through an official post, that Tales of Arise, the latest installment in the acclaimed and genre-defining franchise, just reached the mark of 2 million copies sold worldwide since its release.
Tales of Arise had passed the 1.5 million sales mark in October of last year. The game also managed to pass the 1 million sales milestone only a week after its release on September 9th, 2021.
The announcement of the new milestone also featured a message from the team behind the title and the reveal of a new celebratory art, this time featuring the Elde Menancia duo, Dohalim and Kisara. The new image can also be considered as the third piece of a set featuring all of the game’s main characters, as Alphen and Shionne starred in the 1 million Sales celebratory image, while Rinwell and Law were the focus of the one revealed in celebration of the breaking of the 1.5 million milestone. Tales of Arise was first released in September 2021, to the acclaim of both longtime and newcomers to the franchise alike, thanks to its great story, charismatic main cast, beautiful graphics, as well as its mechanics, and improved combat system. The game was also the winner of the Best Role-Playing Game category in the 2021 The Game Awards.
