After an entire year, we’re finally getting an end-of-season event from Fortnite. Based on the tweet from Epic Games, we can expect something very similar to “The End” event back in Chapter 1 Season X.
The Tweet from the Fortnite X (formally known as Twitter) account posted that the new event will happen at December 2, 2023, at 2pm ET. The event will be known as “The Big Bang” but shows a rocket that looks a lot like the one shown in “The End” event.
The event that ended Fortnite Season X Chapter 1, known as “The End,” was a live event that took place on October 13, 2019. The event was a culmination of the season’s storyline, which revolved around time manipulation and the threat of a mysterious black hole.
The event began with players dropping into a normal game of Battle Royale. However, as the match progressed, strange things began to happen. Rifts began to appear in the sky, and the rocket that had been under construction at Dusty Depot finally launched.
The rocket flew into the sky and broke through the fabric of reality, creating a massive black hole. The black hole began to consume everything in its path, including the entire Fortnite map. Players were then transported to a white void, where they could see the black hole from afar. The black hole continued to grow until it eventually consumed the entire void.
The screen then went black, and the words “The End” appeared. This signaled the end of Fortnite Chapter 1. The End was a momentous event that had a profound impact on the Fortnite community. It was a fitting conclusion to a chapter that had been full of surprises and excitement.
I was there for “The End” just like I’ve been there for every event since. In my opinion, it’s in the top five. I really liked the Marvel event and the Ariana Grande event, but The End had a quality none could really touch. It was mysterious and opened a new chapter (literally) for Fortnite, and I have never been as excited as I was back then. Definitely looking forward to seeing what Epic Games does this time.
