The Bloodline lets you face every enemy up close and personal if you want, but you’d be forgiven if you didn’t know you could sneak. The game doesn’t list it as one of its controls and it is essential if you want to do things without getting caught. Here are some tips for sneaking and what you should look for when you detect it.

If you are a pretty sneaky character, you may end up wracking up a bounty, so check out our guide on bounties to see if you can get rid of them yet. Otherwise, you need wood bundles to make structures, so it’s a good idea to check out our Wood Bundle guide.

What button do I press to sneak in The Bloodline?

To sneak in The Bloodline, you have to press the key on your keyboard. If you did it right, you’ll see a message at the bottom showing Hidden if you’re hidden. It’s not a method listed in your controls, so it’s okay not to know, but once you know how to use it, we recommend leveling it up.

You gain experience from sneaking, so every time you hit something while sneaking or walk near someone while sneaking, you’ll gain experience. For some reason, animals don’t affect you being seen, but you can be seen by the goblins found around if you’re not careful.

Be careful, because you will still gain a bounty from attacking innocent people for no reason if others see you. This works similarly to how sneak works in other games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, where you use it to be stealthy. You can use it like running, where you just keep moving around with it, but sneaking is preferred if you’re not in a hurry. Either way, it’s an easy way to get experience if you’re not the sneaking type of person.
