Sometimes you’ll get sick or an illness in The Bloodline and you won’t know what to do, but that’s okay. We have the cure-all to the illnesses you contract in The Bloodline, and it’s pretty simple once you know. At the moment, the game only has the coughing illness, which depletes your health, and the remedy is below.

If you want more help for things you’re not really told about in The Bloodline, check out our guides on how to sneak, and if you can find wood bundles in the game. If you’re having any trouble getting stuck, we also recommend our guide on getting unstuck in the game.

How to cure sicknesses and illnesses in The Bloodline

To cure illnesses in The Bloodline, you have to go to sleep in a bed. Go to the building where you start when you open the game, there will be a free bed you can use. As far as we know, this is the only bed available in the game. Rest for an hour or as long as you like, but when you wake up, you will be healed.

The developers may add some kind of sleeping tent in the future but for now, you have to just use the bed you are given in the beginning.

Why do I keep coughing in The Bloodline?

You keep coughing in The Bloodline because you’re sick. Each cough will cost you 10 HP. Go ahead and get into a bed and sleep off your illness before you die.

If you do not sleep in time, you will lose all of your health and die. If you are far from a bed, just use Esc then go to Overworld, and return to the starting area. This will get you close to a bed so you can sleep off the sickness.
