It’s widely known that Call of Duty is one of the most popular gaming franchises in the Western world, with players hopping in daily to face off against the best soldiers. Activision is now jumping into a new genre of media with the announcement of the launch of the Call of Duty: The Board Game‘s Kickstarter earlier today, now raising over $51,000 in the hour since it launched.

The Call of Duty: The Board Game Kickstarter Page will allow anyone to donate to the project, which has an initial fundraising goal of $75,000. With the currently accrued amount from over 350 backers, Activision and its board game partners are two-thirds to their goal before word is even able to get out about the project.

As is standard with Kickstarter campaigns, players will receive rewards from a tiered system based on how much they invest in the project. These range from the Pledge Manager Access tier for $5 to the Design a Custom Card for $600, with the latter only offering 10 spots total. It’s unclear if there will be any further goals after the board game seemingly has no issue reaching its goal. Players will need support for at least $49 if they want a copy of the game.

The game is currently scheduled for release at some point in 2024 and subscribers to the Kickstarter can sign up for additional bonuses like unique operators or banners.
