Tin Hearts, the relaxing narrative puzzle game from developer Rogue Sun and publisher Wired Productions, has just revealed that a Tin Hearts prequel story titled The Little Soldier Who Dared will premiere sometime next week.
Further, the surprise project will be narrated by the brilliant actor Stephen Fry, who also has an extensive history with narration and audio books.
Tin Hearts is available now on the Nintendo Switch. Last month, the devs announced that a release date for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms would be delayed until May 16th, 2023, granting exclusivity to Nintendo. Wired Productions revealed today’s news about the prequel and Stephen Fry in a new tweet, which includes a very brief teaser:
Tin Hearts is an endlessly charming little puzzle game, thanks to its casual pacing, cozy art design and gentle music. But it also has a sentimental heart and an engaging story.
The narrative focus in Tin Hearts will definitely make the prequel story intriguing enough for fans to discover new insights and context. It’s hard to tell just how long the prequel will actually be, but the production will be a video and not just an audio tale.
Its tone is also suitable for Stephen Fry, whose elegant rhythm and detectable wisdom are always a delight. Fry’s personality is often utilized well for biting comedy, with an emphasis on wit.
Tin Hearts is hardly a bundle of laughs, and it has no real edge, but its emotional sincerity will certainly benefit from the voice talent. Besides, Fry has narrated a wide range of selections, even Greek mythology. It’s terrific to see him in the gaming industry, and it is absolutely a big get for such a small title.
