Tin Hearts is a heartfelt puzzle adventure that puts players’ brains to the test as they attempt to do their best to understand the mind of a prodigy. The game has been a success according to Publisher Wired Productions, who has announced that the game will be getting a VR adaptation later this year.
In the VR Tin Hearts trailer earlier today, players can hear a narrator give an overview of the general themes of the title, including a struggling inventor. It shows the tiny soldiers marching, the core mechanic of the game, with players working to establish paths between the spawn and the exit. It’s a genuinely challenging game and it will be interesting to see how the developer is able to evolve the concept from VR.
The new game will be built from the ground up, according to the trailer, but it’s unclear if the puzzles will be the same as the base game. Even if so, it will be a great and challenging opportunity for players to see the capabilities of puzzle games in VR. The new version of the game is expected to come to PCVR, Meta Quest 2, and PSVR2 “later this year.”
We were able to review Tin Hearts ahead of release in May and were really impressed by the innovative and varied puzzle options while it still maintained to craft an interesting mystery. It will be interesting to see if this carries over to the recreation in a more personal space. It’s worth noting that we also thought it felt like it would be an ideal VR title.
The original version of Tin Hearts has been “critically acclaimed,” and is currently available on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
