If you're wondering what is the deal with Clash Royale's new Totally Balanced game mode, we'll explain it to you in this guide!
Featured Clash Royale Totally Balanced

Clash Royale has been recently updating the game quite a bit, with the new Mighty Miner Champion card being added to the game and some new balance changes being announced for April 2022. The game also got a bit of an April Fools’ Day joke in the form of a new game mode. If you’re wondering what exactly is going on in this mode, we’ll explain it to you in this guide.

The Total Balanced game mode in Clash Royale randomly takes the Elixir Cost of one of the cards in your deck and assigns it to all of your cards. This cost is only temporary and when you play a card, it will again randomly assign an Elixir Cost to your cards again. This continues throughout the match until it is over!

If you want to take advantage of the mechanics in this game mode, you will want to have quite a few low cost cards in your deck along with a couple of high cost ones. This will give you a greater chance of your high cost cards receiving a lower cost, which is how you are going to win the majority of your games!

You will from time-to-time get unlucky and have your cards cost high elixir counts when the game grabs the cost from one of your big cards. This is the trade off of the mode, but hopefully you’ll be able to get enough value out of your high cost cards to make it worth it!

Cards like Three Musketeers and Electro Giant are likely going to be some of the standouts in terms of the big ones that you want to play. Most of your other cards will be low cost, like Skeletons, Fire Spirit, Ice Spirit, Electro Spirit, and Heal Spirit!

    Why does this exist?

It’s just a fun mode, possibly part of an April Fools’ joke.

Thanks a lot for this explanation, I queued into one of the games and I was confused of why my cards had random elixed costs and my oponent was spamming mega knights and random spirits at me LOL.

      No problem!
