Two Point Campus, the comedic sim management hit from developer Two Point Studios and publisher SEGA, has a new trailer for its upcoming Medical School DLC, which is now slated to release on August 17th, 2023. It will add new locations, students and more. Pre-orders will be available today for Steam and Microsoft.
Two Point Campus originally launched in August 2022, and is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation. You can watch today’s new trailer for the Medical School DLC on Two Point Studios’ official YouTube channel:
It seems that Two Point Campus is finally adding some content that nods more directly to its popular predecessor, Two Point Hospital, which featured equally inventive and hilariously strange challenges.
The Medical School update will add the new campus locations Lake Tumble, Molten Rock, and Pointy Peak. Naturally, the new courses will include Medical School and Nursing, with 6 treatment rooms like Thumping Therapy and an Injection Room. There will also be two new student archetypes, and traditional Patient Emergencies or capturing ghosts.
Today’s trailer features a lot of Two Point Studios’ classic fun with bizarre health treatment, as equipment catches on fire and players can indulge in questionable practices.
Fans of the original will likely be pleased with the nostalgia, rather than annoyed the DLC doesn’t introduce a totally fresh concept. It’s clear that the new medical content fits in well with Two Point Campus, and there’s still some sense of novelty in the way it’s incorporated.
The new locations are fantastic, particularly the brief glimpse of snowy Pointy Peak. Extreme weather and Two Point Studios are certain to go hand in hand, akin to the Space Academy DLC from last year.
