Pokemon Scarlet and Violet bring some new additions to the game, which means there’s a lot of new pocket monsters out there that can be collected and battled against. When battling against certain Pokemon, it’s unclear what type they are initially, so learning which moves you should use is very important! Tyranitar Weaknesses
Tyranitar is a Rock, Dark-type Pokemon, which means they have weaknesses to Bug, Fairy, Fighting, Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel, Water-type moves. It is immune to Psychic, but it is resistant to Normal, Flying, Poison, Ghost, Fire, Dark attacks.
While any Bug, Fairy, Fighting, Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel, Water-type moves will be sufficient to finish of Tyranitar, you will want to focus on Special Attacks moves if you have them. Tyranitar has higher Physical Defense, which means you will have much better luck using Special Attacks.
As for specific Pokemon you want to avoid bringing into battle against Tyranitar, you will want to make sure to leave Ghost, Psychic, Bug, Fire, Flying Ice-types out. They all have at least one weakness to Tyranitar’s attacks. Tyranitar also carries Ground moves, so be careful with Electric, Fire, Poison, Rock, Steel Pokemon.
