The Tribes of Midgard has been released and with it are many questions that are being asked about the game. There’s a lot of items that are on the mysterious side, so it’s not surprising that there is some confusion. We are attempting to clear things up with our guides, and will be looking at the mystery of the Golden Egg in this one!
Golden Egg
The Golden Egg is a collectible rune that you can obtain in the game. We aren’t positive of what it does yet, however, based on a reply on Reddit, it could possibly spawn Roosters of Ragnarok that can be killed for Event Fragments. We will be keeping a lookout for more details on it, but as of now the devs are quiet on the specific information about this item.
A new possibility that has been suggested for the Golden Egg is that it could increase the drop rate of Golden Horns when fighting enemies. This again is only speculation at the moment, but it would make sense and increase the value of holding onto this in one of your Rune slots. Thanks to zeldoz in our comment section for letting us know about their theory.
While what it does exactly is unclear, you can sell it for 200 Souls, which is a nice profit. If you have any specific experience with the Golden Egg, let us know in the comments, so that we can share the information with others!
How-to get the Golden Egg
From what we can gather, it looks like the Golden Egg can drop at random like any other rune. It has reportedly been obtained by slaying random enemies, and it can also be gotten by offering Golden Horns to the Golden Altar in the village. I would guess it could also drop from chests, or any other method that a rune might be obtained in the game.
That’s everything we know about the Golden Egg Rune in Tribes of Midgard! We will be covering the game extensively during the release, so be sure to check out the Tribes of Midgard section of our website.
the egg gives you HUGE chance of getting golden horns out of normal mobs!
I’ve made a mention of that in the post now, thanks for the comment!
