Where to find Pichu in Pokemon Legends Arceus

We'll walk you through the process of locating a Pichu spawn in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!
Featured Pokemon Arceus Pichu Guide

Completing your PokeDex is one of the main goals for Pokemon Legends: Arceus. While this is the idea of most Pokemon games, Arceus really focuses on it. The exploration of the various areas of the map are some of the most fun and interesting aspects of the game. While most Pokemon are straightforward to catch, some can be a bit harder to find and will elude capture. If you are looking for Pichu to add to your collection, we’ll show you where you can find it in this guide!

Finding Pichu

To locate Pichu in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, you will either need to go to Nature’s Pantry/Floaro Gardens in the Obsidian Fieldlands or the Golden Lowlands in the Crimson Mirelands area of the map. Pichu can be found at any of these locations in small amounts.

I found the best place is to head to Nature’s Pantry in Obsidian Fieldlands. There’s multiple places it can spawn, and you might unfortunately find a Pikachu rather than a Pichu. The map below shows the exact spawn locations of where the shared Pikachu and Pichu locations can be found.

Pichu can appear at any hour of the day and during any weather type. There are no restrictions on it, however, it is a fairly rare spawn which might make you think that there’s something you aren’t doing correctly. Unfortunately, you can only really continually search the known spawn area over and over until you get lucky enough to encounter one.

If you search the area listed on the map and don’t see a Pichu, you should head to a camp and travel to Jubilife Village. Once you arrive at the village, immediately journey back to the Heights Camp travel location and search the region for Pichu. Keep repeating this process until one spawns!

Pichu is skittish, so make sure you sneak up on it when you try to catch it. Battling is not the best option unless you attack it unaware. Entice the Pokemon with a berry of some sort, sneak behind it, and throw an Ultra Ball to add it to your collection.

Once you’ve caught a Pichu, you can try waiting for the location to replace the Pokemon with a new spawn. It’s possible you get another Pichu, but it seems just as likely you will get something else. It’s generally just better to repeat going back to the village to change the Pokemon in the region.

That’s everything you need to know about finding yourself a Pichu! If you are on the hunt for other Pokemon, we’ve got a guide for Munchlax as well! You will find a variety of informative content on the game in the Pokemon Arceus section of our website.
