Roblox Adopt Me! is one of the most popular games on the platform, so it came to a shock to a lot of players to find that it has gone private on September 22nd, 2021. If you’re worried that your character, pets, and miscellaneous items are unsafe then hopefully I can alleviate some of your fears.

Why did it go private?

As of right now, no one knows why it has gone private. Before it was taken down, if you click on the play button, you would go to the base Roblox game. Not too long afterwards the game went private.

The game is now available again to play! No real reason was given to why it went down, the follow up message from Newfissy didn’t clear much up:

Adopt Me is back up! Thanks everyone for waiting

Newfissy, who is the technical co-founder of the game, made the following comment on Twitter:

We’re aware that Adopt Me is currently down and are investigating. Will update everyone when we know more. Thanks everyone for your patience

If you are worried about your pets or items, then I would ask you to not be overly concerned. It’s very unlikely that anything will happen to all of the things you’ve been collecting. The only thing that could possibly happen is that something you’ve gotten right near when the problems occured could be rolled back. If there’s a data loss, it’s likely that the people who work on Adopt Me will come up with some kind of solution.

This outage comes on the heels of Anime Fighters Simulator being taken down due to complaints. Due to that happening so recently, I’m sure some players are worried that this might happen with Adopt Me. In my view, it’s more likely a technical issue, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens!
