Still nothing official on why it was taken down and when exactly it will be back. However, this is obviously a good sign that we’ll be getting news very soon!

Update: September 24th, 2021

While we still don’t know what’s going on with the game for sure, Daireb has left a new message on the Discord relaying that there are rumors going around that aren’t true:

We’d just like to announce that there there are a lot of rumours going around that anime fighters won’t be coming back, or the reasons that it is down. These are just unfounded rumours. We will be updating you guys here as soon as we can. Don’t believe everything you see online.

It is important to know that NO ONE knows why this has happened outside of the developers. We only speculated in this post, and anyone saying they know for sure is likely not a credible source.

Previous Details

In a statement from Daireb, who is the developer of Anime Fighters Simulator, the game has been closed due to complaints:

Hey everyone! Anime Fighters will be closed for the next while, as we sort out some complaints we have received. We are working hard to get the game back to all of you, and it will be coming soon! We will announce details of the return at a later date.

It is unclear what exactly these complaints entail, and details are slim at the moment. It is possible that this is due to copyright infringement. The game is largely based on big anime franchises, and while the names are different in the game, the models of the fighters are pretty clearly based on characters from the animes. This includes things like Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece, One Punch Man, and many more.

Daireb has also given this statement as a follow up:

We want to stress that the game will be coming back. We are working hard and it will be back better than ever.

Needless to say, the community on the official Anime Fighters Discord is not pleased. Many are complaining about the fact that they spent quite a few Robux on the game and have no idea when it is coming back.

It should be known that this isn’t the first time a high profile Roblox game has been taken down. What is now known as Islands, was originally named Skyblock. This was the name of a popular mod for Minecraft, and the game was taken down and rebranded as Skyblox and then Islands.

In a very similar circumstance to what might be happening to Anime Fighters Simulator, the game that is now known as Shindo Life, was originally known as Shinobi Life 2. They were forced to takedown the game, change things, and rebrand as well. The game is still very popular, but there was speculation that it would not be able to return at the time.

That’s everything that we know about the closing of Anime Fighters Simulator right now. We’ll be keeping an eye on the progress and statements from the developers as this story unfolds. This post will be updated as soon as we learn more!

BRING IT BACK IT WAS FINE

      YEAH!!!

Greetings Shaun, out of curiosity, how long was Shindo Life actually down? Just trying to get a feel for how soon we can expect Anime Fighters to be back online. I’m confident they will be as quick as they can. They were hasty about getting updates quickly and regularly.

Shindo was down for about 9 days or so, but it’s hard to compare because we don’t know for sure why Anime Fighters was shutdown. It might not be because of copyright reasons, and if that’s the case then there’s no real way to know a timeframe. I’m sure they’re working hard to get things back up as soon as possible!

I agree. They behave like people who are committed to what they do. Because of that, I sense the team will not let all their prior work be wasted, for very long. Meaning, they are already working overtime to get up and running again.

Stop lying, we know that it isn’t happening anytime soon

We don’t know anything, so how could anyone be lying about it? Shindo Life wasn’t down for all that long.
