Nintendo has featured four brand-new indies for their ongoing Holiday Event this week, including announcements and updates for Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator, Sonority, Tin Hearts and Sail Forth. Nintendo’s YouTube channel will host more indie showcases every day through this Friday, at 9 AM pacific time.

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator

Potion Craft: Alchemist Simulator has officially announced a new port to major consoles. It will finally arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 sometime in Spring 2023. Casual gamers may find the premise oddly simple, but the devs have definitely made the most of it. There are countless ingredients, and the gameplay loop of experimentation and town interaction is very easy to enjoy.

Sonority

Developed by Hanging Gardens Interactive, Sonority is available now on PC and Nintendo Switch. It incorporates music into the puzzles and adventure in clever ways, though heavy-handed. The graphics are simple, and call early PlayStation 2 games to mind, but the art design is certainly cute.

Tin Hearts

Tin Hearts has announced today that it will launch on April 20th, 2023. Tin Hearts is one of the most anticipated indies, featuring an absolutely gorgeous, vintage art style.

Alongside the dangerous puzzles and sense of humor, it could be shaping up to be the next It Takes Two, though it would also need to muster a serious emotional impact. Either way, like any platformer, it’ll make a great mobile game.

Sail Forth

Although it wasn’t previously announced, this Sail Forth surprised fans by launching today! The visuals and music are very charming, but there’s also a tremendous amount of content. The gameplay promises dozens of regions to explore, building and customizing an entire fleet, monsters, pirates and more. It looks very creative, and definitely feels the most like a hidden gem.
