The creator of Stardew Valley Expanded, FlashShifter (AKA Devin Hedegaard), is working on a 2.0 version of the mod that will focus on magic. This is a much-anticipated update, as magic is a popular theme in Stardew Valley and there is a lot of potential for new content and gameplay mechanics.

In his interview with Polygon, FlashShifter did not reveal a lot of information about the 2.0 update, but he has teased that it will include a new location focusing on magic. This location is likely to be a home for new NPCs, events, and quests.

In addition to the new location, the 2.0 update is also expected to flesh out the story of Camilla, a witch who is a fan favorite among players of the mod. Camilla is currently a fairly mysterious character, so it will be interesting to see what FlashShifter has in store for her.

The 2.0 update is also expected to include several other new features, such as new crops, animals, and furniture. FlashShifter is also planning to add some new gameplay mechanics, such as the ability to cast spells.

The Stardew Valley Expanded mod is a popular expansion for the base game of Stardew Valley. The mod adds a lot of new content to the game, including new characters, locations, events, crops, fish, furniture, and more. It has been downloaded over 1.8 million times on Nexus Mods, making it far and away the most popular content mod for Stardew Valley.

The mod has its own subreddit and Discord server, which have around 19,000 members. The server is a great place to get help with the mod, as well as to connect with other fans.

Stardew Valley Expanded is open-source, and FlashShifter encourages other modders to learn from his work. He is also upfront about the fact that Expanded is fanfiction. The next update for the mod is expected to coincide with Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update, which will allow FlashShifter to add features he has been planning for years.
