Dead by Daylight has released an official new teaser for the rumored, highly requested Alien collaboration. It features cinematic footage of familiar ship interiors, a menacing shot of a shadowed Xenomorph, and the film’s classic opening title reveal.

The teaser also announces that more official details will be revealed next week on August 8th, 2023. This could include release information, a gameplay trailer, abilities and more.

Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. You can watch today’s new Alien teaser on the game’s YouTube channel:

Dead by Daylight has consistently expanded its own lore over the years, which continues to renew interest and earn new fans. The franchise is going strong, with an upcoming film adaptation and two new titles on the way.

However, there’s no denying the effect of Dead by Daylight’s remarkable IP collaborations. Most recently, there’s been a lot of buzz around the recent addition of Nicholas Cage, who brightens up any creative project with his bold and memorable performances.

Alien is a more traditional addition to the franchise. Despite many divisive sequels, the original two films remain quite beloved, and the first movie particularly emphasizes stealth and terror. This horror survival angle was wielded effectively in Alien: Isolation. The Xenomorph has regularly seen new adaptations like Aliens: Dark Descent, which we reviewed in June.

The Xenomorph’s cleverness, durability, and ferocity make them a perfect killer for Dead by Daylight, and it’ll be interesting to see how the game translates their many abilities. The Xenomorph is especially skilled at hiding and ambushes, thanks to their biomechanical look.

And despite the unapologetic gore in the Alien series, the Xenomorph is a deeply psychological enemy, an iconic representative of the unknown. They’re a welcome addition to Dead by Daylight, and certain to draw in new players.
