How to Get a Free Flying Mount in Devas of Creation
To get a free flying mount in Devas of Creation, you must rely heavily on luck, as there is only a 3% chance of obtaining one of three flying mounts, which essentially means a 1% chance for each mount. You must be at level 40 and speak to an NPC named Alden Wraiths. Then, you must repeatedly complete a quest called “Taming the Sky” if you didn’t land on a mount via gacha spin after your first try.
Before beginning, it’s crucial to remember that you need to be at least level 40 to start working toward earning a free mount. There’s no alternative to get a free flying mount, so if you’re not at the required level, you’ll simply have to put in the effort until you reach level 40. The best place to grind to level 40 is by killing Feral Fiend Soldier and Feral Fiend General over at Lizardman Marsh.
After reaching level 40, find NPC Alden Wraiths. The quickest way to reach him is by using the teleporter to Lakeforest Catacombs Entry. You can find instructions on accessing that waypoint in the image below.
From the waypoint, head south. You’ll encounter Level 36 Boulder Trolls and friendly flying animals. The image below shows Alden’s location.
Look for Alden Wraiths and accept his quest, “Taming the Sky.” As a reward, you’ll receive a Treasure Chest with a chance to obtain the following rewards:
- Pterodactyl (Legendary Flying Mount) – 1% chance
- Undead Eagle (Epic Flying Mount) – 1% chance
- Wasp (Epic Flying Mount) – 1% chance
- 2x Essential Arcane Meat Roll – 16% chance
- 2x Essential Fortune Nut Mix – 16% chance
- 5,000 Essence Tokens – 65% chance
Taming the Sky Quest Overview
However, “Taming the Sky” is a six-step quest, so it takes time to complete. Here are the tasks for each step:
- Step 1
- Collect 15 Troll Meats from Boulder Trolls
- Collect 10 Troll Meats from Glacier Trolls
- They both can be found around this area you are in.
- Step 2
- Go back to Alden Wraiths
- Step 3
- Deliver the Troll Meats to Zorin
- Step 4
- Deliver the flying beasts to Alden
- Step 5
- Talk to Alden
- Step 6
- Retrieve 25 Azure Mushrooms for Aldren Wraiths
- Retrieve 25 Ruby Berries for Aldren Wraiths
Once you hand over the mushrooms and berries, you will automatically start spinning to see what is inside the chest. Keep in mind that you have a 3% chance to get one of three mounts. If you don’t get a flying mount, you can pay 125 Robux for another attempt, but that’s a lot. It might be easier to just grind this quest.
My top recommendation for you is to gather as many Azure Mushrooms and Ruby Berries as possible, as everything in your inventory counts toward completing this quest. Though it may be speedier to use your mount to get around, walking and farming all the mushrooms and berries in sight is worth it than speed. This final step is the most time-consuming, so ensure that your gathering skill is high enough to gather more resources with each attempt.
This is the only method currently in Devas of Creation to get a free flying mount. If you don’t want to grind Taming the Sky, the only option is to purchase one with Robux.
