How to Get the Eternal Frostwhale in Fisch – Golden Tide Event

The Eternal Frostwhale is only available during the Golden Tide Event, making it a rare and time-limited catch. You’ll need to fish in a Golden Tide Pool, which spawns randomly when the in-game day changes to night or vice versa. These pools are your key to catching this legendary fish, but they don’t appear every time, so you may need to trigger their spawn manually.

How to Find Golden Tide Pools in Fisch

Golden Tide Pools are event-specific fishing areas. They can appear at any random location when the day or night cycle shifts. If you don’t want to wait for the natural cycle, you can use Sundial Totems to force the cycle to change and increase your chances of spawning a pool. However, remember that these pools will only spawn while the Golden Tide Event is active.

When you spot a Golden Tide Pool, head there immediately, as this is the only place you can catch the Eternal Frostwhale. These pools are often contested by other players, so you’ll want to secure your spot quickly.

Requirements to Catch the Eternal Frostwhale in Fisch

The Eternal Frostwhale is no ordinary catch. It’s a large fish with a 1250kg average weight and can weigh up to 3003.4kg. It also comes with a tricky -80% progress debuff, meaning your progress bar will fill up much slower than usual while reeling it in. Because of this, having the right rod and bait is essential.

Rod and Enchantments

  • A mid-tier rod is the minimum requirement, but you’ll have a much easier time with a high-tier rod that has good Resilience and Control stats.
  • Consider enchanting your rod with:
  • Steady for better control.
  • Mystical or Resilient to improve resilience and make up for the debuff.

Bait

The Eternal Frostwhale’s preferred bait is Shark Head, which is only available from Quality Bait Crates. Make sure you have enough of these before you start fishing.

Fishing During Special Events

While weather, time, and season don’t affect your chances of catching the Eternal Frostwhale, fishing during an Aurora Event can boost your overall luck. If you see an Aurora happening, take advantage of it and head straight to a Golden Tide Pool.

What to Expect When Catching the Eternal Frostwhale

The Eternal Frostwhale is a challenging catch due to its erratic movement on the fishing bar and the -80% progress debuff. Its behavior is similar to that of a Megalodon, making it a feisty fish that requires patience and precision to reel in.

  • Location: Golden Tide Pool (random spawn location)
  • Rarity: Limited (only during Golden Tide Event)
  • Bait: Shark Head
  • Weight Range: 1250kg (average) to ~3003.4kg (maximum)
  • Value: 8 C$/kg (average total value ~10,000 C$)
  • Base XP: 8000

Keep in mind that the Steady enchantment doesn’t speed up your progress while catching the Eternal Frostwhale, so focus on using enchantments that increase Resilience or Control instead.
