From my years of gaming, I’ve observed that the ability to express oneself in video games has evolved significantly. In Battle Royale games like Fortnite and Farlight 84, emotes have become a central form of communication, be it for strategy, fun, or a bit of friendly trolling. For those diving into Farlight 84 for the first time, the question often arises: how does one use emotes in the game?
How to use Emotes in Farlight 84
In my experience with Farlight 84, I found that using emotes isn’t as straightforward as one might expect. Unlike some games where there’s a default keybinding for emoting, Farlight 84 requires a bit of setup. Here’s a step-by-step guide based on my experience with the game:
- First, navigate to the
Optionsmenu within the game. - Proceed to
Keyboard and Mouse. - From there, select
Custom Bind Key. - Navigate to the
Tab "Heroes"section. - Look for the option labeled
"Stickers/Emotes Lottery". - Here, you can assign a keybinding of your choice. I’d recommend choosing a key that isn’t frequently used during gameplay.

Once set, you can bring up the sticker and emote wheel in-game by holding down your custom emotes button for a few seconds. By default, the wheel will show stickers. To switch to emotes, press the space button when the wheel is open.
To use an emote, hover over it and left-click, and your character will perform the selected emote. If you wish to exit the wheel without selecting an emote, simply right-click. Remember, while emotes are fun, they get you shot at often or may lead to your death if you use them at the wrong time.
It is very strange that there is not a default emote button, especially for a Battle Royale. But hey, at least emotes are in Farlight 84; you just have to set it up yourself.
